Situated next to Whampoa Garden, Hunghom Bay Centre was completed in 1978. It represented the first generation of private housing estates in the area and was the prototype for private housing development in the region.

Hunghom Bay Centre consists of 11 residential towers with a total of 814 residential units. There is also a commercial podium comprising 74,000 sq. ft. of shop spaces, together with basement car parks.
